Beginners surf lessons are 3 hours in total and qualified instructors with local knowledge take you through all of the basics in learning to surf. Local knowledge of the waves ensures you are taken to the safest places on the beach while you’re still learning. All wetsuit gear and equipment is provided – the only things you need to bring are swimwear and a towel. More seasoned surfers can bypass the beginners lesson and head straight out to the surf with their instructor.

You can choose from daily surf lessons, or you can enrol your child on week long summer camps – guaranteed to keep them occupied while you explore what else Sligo has to offer.
Group surf lessons are also popular with the surf school catering for birthday parties, stag and hens and much more. If you don’t fancy learning to surf, you can also try stand up paddle boarding with instructors on hand to teach you all the tricks to succeed.
