Hotels Near Sligo Live

Sligo Live festival has now been running for over a decade and celebrates the town’s passion for music and strong heritage, showcasing Sligo’s folk roots and Indie Music scene.  International stars such as Van Morrison, The Water Boys and Russel Crow have played this festival, as well as folk legends such as Seamus O’Dowd.  As well as exhibiting the known and loved talent, Sligo Live strives to help up-and-coming talents get discovered and grow. Acts such as The Duke and The King and Foy Vance are now success stories as a result of Sligo Live. The key objective of this music festival is to “enjoy good music with great people on the wonderful Wild Atlantic Coast”.  Each year, a crowd of approximately 20,000 music lovers are attracted here from Ireland and abroad and over 100 intimate gigs and Café Culture events are hosted in various locations across Sligo.  The Festival runs every year around the last week of October and ticket prices are in the region of €110 for access to all gigs or €10 to €25 per individual gig.

Clayton Hotel Sligo is the perfect base for attendees of Sligo Live Festival, being in close proximity to all of the gig venues.  Hawks Well Theatre is walkable in less than 30 minutes, drivable in 7 minutes and the S1 bus service is just a 15 minute bus journey.  The Knocknarea Arena is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel, a 4 minute drive and again there is a bus service available. Clayton Hotel Sligo is ideal for a group of friends coming to enjoy the buzz of Sligo Live. Have a relaxed bite to eat in the enchanting Kudos Bar Asian and European restaurant before singing and dancing the night away.  Take a look at the Stay Longer for Less Packages and there will be no reason in the world not to book.
